Internet Speed Test

This free tool calculates your internet download speed in bits per second. Most internet connections speeds are advertised in bits. There are eight bits in one byte, and it usually takes one byte to store one letter. So if you're connection is 40 Mbps (megabits) that actually means your top speed would only be about 5 MBps (megabytes).
